Ruth Stevens is fully accredited with the Institute of Conservation (Icon) and holds a Masters Degree in Book and Library Materials Conservation from West Dean College. She worked at the British Library for 6 years as a book conservator and project conservator, working with the Adopt-a-Book team, the Loans and Exhibition team, and took part in several of the Library's internal review projects including 'Decision Making for Pamphlet Material' and 'Use of Adhesives in Conservation'. Ruth has published a number of articles on conservation both in the general press, in conservation journals and online newsletters. She works as an in-situ conservator for the National Trust and other institutions as well as spending time in the studio.
