Ruth Stevens is fully accredited with the Institute of Conservation (Icon) and holds a Masters Degree in Book and Library Materials Conservation from West Dean College. She worked at the British Library for 7 years as a book conservator and project conservator. Ruth has published articles on conservation both in the general press, in conservation journals and online newsletters and is an experienced conservator, presenter and teacher. 

Ian Watson is fully accredited with the Institute of Conservation (Icon) and holds a Masters Degree (with Distinction) in Book and Library Materials Conservation from West Dean College. Whilst Ian specialises in book conservation he also has experience in preventive conservation, library and archival storage conditions as well as disaster planning and response. He is an experienced teacher and has an interest in antiquarian leather bindings.
